Well, I got out last night for a hurried effort as I had to rise early. I wasn't sure what to go for. M3 was in the east mired in the Light Pollution. So I settled on M35 in Gemini.
Scope: LX200
I did have trouble gaining focus with the Stiletto focuser due to so much light in my neighborhood. I thought I had it but it took some time with the laptop to get it to the point where it was acceptable. I used the Canon EOS software to view the shots on the laptop.
Anyway, I ended up with some tracking issues which limited me to 15 second exposures. So I took 20 of those in RAW mode and stacked them to with Deep Space Stacker and then processed them with Photoshop. I also used Astroimage Processing to make the stars smaller as they were slight out of focus.
Here's the final result... not bad for the first time out.
